High school can be a time of self-discovery and excitement, as well as one of challenge and difficulty. During these four years, students experience academic growth along with personal, social, spiritual, and emotional growth.
NDCL's school counselors are educated and skilled in supporting students in these areas with the goal that students recognize their strengths and problem-solving skills and become more autonomous each year. Students will learn stress management techniques and life skills through their time with their counselors.
Counselors also support students who have mental health hardships and often partner with clinical counselors and psychiatrists when the presenting issues go beyond the professional scope of school counseling. Students can request to meet with their counselors by stopping in to set up an appointment or sending their counselor an email. They have open doors and are ready to connect with students anytime!
